AI Recipe Studio LLC ("AI Recipe Studio", "we", "our", "us") explains in this policy what personal data we collect, how we collect it, how we use it, when we share it, and your choices.

Information we collect

We collect the following categories of data:

Account and profile data. Email address, sign-in provider details, chef name, household member profiles, dietary preferences, allergies, health notes, and recipe settings you choose.

Recipe and chat content. Prompts, recipe requests, chat history, meal plans, shopping lists, and other content you create in the app.

Images and media inputs. Images you upload (for example recipe screenshots or kitchen photos). If you use voice features, we process spoken input for transcription.

Device and usage data. Device identifiers, app version, platform, feature usage counts, and diagnostic logs needed for reliability and abuse prevention.

Subscription and purchase data. Product identifiers, entitlement status, transaction identifiers, expiration dates, and purchase/restore results for subscription management.

Support communications. Messages and optional contact details you send to support.

How we collect information

We collect data when you provide it directly (for example, creating an account, entering prompts, uploading images, editing household profiles, or contacting support), when you use app features, and from service providers that process authentication, cloud storage, subscriptions, and AI responses for us.

How we use information

We use your data to:

Provide core features (AI recipe/chat responses, meal plans, shopping lists, saved content sync, and household personalization).

Run account authentication and protect account security.

Operate subscriptions, purchases, and entitlements.

Respond to support requests and troubleshoot issues.

Improve reliability, performance, and safety of the app.

AI processing and your permission

Before the app sends personal data to our third-party AI provider, the app asks for your permission. If you do not allow AI data sharing, AI generation features are disabled.

When you allow AI data sharing and use AI features, we send the minimum necessary content for the request, such as your prompt text, relevant recipe/chat context, and uploaded images for that request.

Who we share data with

We do not sell personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run the app:

Google Gemini API (via our server proxy) to generate AI responses from your prompts and optional images.

Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions) for account services, synced app data, and backend processing.

RevenueCat and Apple for subscription purchase processing, receipt verification, and entitlement management.

Mailgun for delivery of support emails.

These providers are contractually required to protect personal data and process it only for authorized purposes.

Your choices

You can choose whether to allow AI data sharing in-app. You can also request access, correction, or deletion of your account data by contacting us. If you delete your account, we delete associated user data from our systems subject to legal and operational retention requirements.

Data retention

We keep data only as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain security and fraud prevention controls.

Children's privacy

AI Recipe Studio is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

Not medical advice

AI Recipe Studio provides planning assistance only and does not provide medical advice. Always consult a qualified professional for medical guidance.

Policy updates

We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date.
